Gravitas Exclusive Ed from Kyuseido – Kakari FS Skittle PvD
The Kyuseido Kakari FS is the result of a collaboration between Kyuseido and Ben Walsh Design, showcasing the cutting-edge Pump Piston Filler integrated filling system. This pen stands out for its exceptional craftsmanship. The body is crafted from optical-grade cast acrylic, prized for its crystal-clear finish and stunning polish. Inside, a 303 stainless steel piston unit and rod drive the innovative Pump Piston Filler.
The Kyuseido Kakari FS Skittle PvD for Gravitas marks the final phase of the collaboration between the two brands. Limited to only 50 pieces (numbered 01 to 50/50) and available exclusively at Gravitas – Pen Venture online stores in a low number and for a limited time.Â
The cap, section, and piston knob are made from durable Ti-6Al-4V titanium and feature a high Ra finish, precision-machined on a Swiss lathe. Delrin® acetal homopolymer lines both the cap and piston knob, providing a smooth and seamless capping and uncapping experience.
The piston rod includes a valve system that seals off the ink chamber from the nib, reducing the risk of leakage during travel. For optimal ink flow, simply unscrew the piston knob to allow free movement of the piston rod before writing.
In collaboration with Ben Walsh Design, Kyuseido also created two exclusive finishes for Gravitas Pens. These special editions, available in matte blue or machine-polished blue, feature 14k yellow gold nibs on ebonite feeds made from black Nikko ebonite, complete with the iconic Gravitas Pens logo. The premium AM tipping ensures exceptional writing performance.
Please note that the nib sizes for the Gravitas Pens Special Editions tend to write larger compared to Kyuseido’s standard nibs, and their nibs and feeds are positioned deeper into the housing.
Although the Kyuseido Kakari FS can be disassembled, this is done at the user’s own risk, and any damage from disassembly is not covered by the Kyuseido International Warranty.
Built to last, the Kyuseido Kakari FS is a durable writing instrument, but it is not indestructible. Damage from drops, excessive force, or external factors outside of normal use can be repaired for a fee, though it falls outside the warranty.
