It encompasses 4,516 poems contributed by individuals across all social strata, from emperors to merchants and farmers. The term “Manyo” is a shorthand for “Manyoshu,” signifying inclusivity across societal ranks.

Sailor Manyo 5th Anniversary Tsuyu is a blue fountain pen ink inspired by this waka poem: “Please, don’t ask ‘who’s there?’ as I wait for you, damp, in the September moonlight.”
