Lacquer Coating known as ”Ursuhi-nuri” is a traditional technique found throughout Japan. ”Wajima-nuri” is a form of lacquer coating produces in Wajima coty, Ishikawa Prefecture that can be dated back to the Heian-era.
Sailor launched Wajima Bijou with jewelry as central stage. The cap top is finished using a color representing a jewel, and mother-of-pearl finishing. Every jewel that inspired these fountain pens has its own meaning: Ruby: Passion, Pure Love, Beauty, and Emerald: Fortune, Hope, Love.
